Lately, when I ran the HP install file from my "/home" folder, it created a lot of HP printer stuff (extra files and folders) in my "/home" folder that I did not want there, so by creating an "HP" folder and running the install in there, all the new HP files and folders were created in that HP sub-folder.

HP Linux Imaging and Printing Print, Scan and Fax Drivers for LinuxįYI-1: I found that creating a folder (directory) for the HP drivers in my "/home" folder, ex: "hplip-3.16.5", or just "HP_Printer", and copying, or saving, the downloaded installation file "hplip-3.16.5.run" into that folder and running it from there worked cleaner & better. click the button "Download HPLIP", save the file somewhere like your "/Downloads" folder, and follow the instructions. I just read your post and the good replies to it. If you run " inxi -Fxzd" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.
